And you are dying to try out the amazing android apps out there? Or may be you have an android phone, but you want try out an app before installing it on your device.Previously, I tried the emulator included in the official Android SDK. But it was too slow on my machine to be of any use.Now, YouWave is a better option for that. It is faster and quite usable.

 

Download the YouWave installer 1.5.1 (93 MB) from their website. Read the limitations and instructions on the download page before installing.

Intel Pentium 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB DRAM, 500MB disk space,Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7


Product Limitations

Apps that have ARM native code, require Flash, require hardware sensors, or use closed source APIs, such as Google Map API, are not supported.

A friendly notice

If VirtualBox is installed on the pc, you need to uninstall it before installing YouWave
The software interface has some quirks, like it cannot be resized. So, it is a pain to use it on a small screen, such as a netbook. But they are already testing the next version - YouWave 2.0.0 which would be released in a month or so. It is supposed to have a more user friendly interface.
